Care of Ceramics

As the maker, I devote time to each piece I create. Every part is hand thrown and turned on the potter's wheel or hand-built. Usually, greenware is decorated with underglaze, then bisque fired and then hand-dipped in a final glaze application and again fired to cone 5,6 or 10. Each piece is one of a kind and has a slight variance. Not one piece is exactly like the next. This feature is the uniqueness of the object, which I find brings out the characteristics of the vessle, and gives my customers an exceptional creation just for them.

Hippottery Studio's ceramics are crafted for daily use. Each piece is food-safe, microwave and dishwasher friendly. However, for an extended lifespan and to truly appreciate their artistic value, I recommend gentle hand washing.

Shipping in the US and International

All orders are prepared by me, insured, and shipped through USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL, depending on pricing. Please permit 2-3 business days for me to prepare and pack your order after the date it was placed. Once I have prepared your order, it will take approximately 2-7 business days to be delivered, depending on your US location or International address. If you need your order expedited, please contact me via my contact form before completing your purchase so that I can calculate the costs.

Return Policy

I want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, but I understand that sometimes issues can arise. Here's how I handle returns:

Damaged during shipping: If you receive a broken piece, please reach out to me within 24 Hours of receipt of the order, you must provide photos of the damaged product. After 24 hours of the delivery date, the damaged product can no longer be refunded or exchanged.

Defective Products: I offer a 60-day return policy for items with product defects. This policy, however, doesn't cover breaks caused by human error, micro fractures over time, or similar issues.

Returning Unsatisfactory Items: If you wish to return an item for reasons other than damage or defects, you'll be responsible for the return shipping cost. Please ensure that the item is returned in the condition you received it. Once I receive the item in its original state, I will process the return, deducting a $10 restocking fee.

Refunds After 60 Days: After the initial 60-day period, no refunds will be issued, even for damaged items.
